Arsenal vs Barca; the duel, part II

First and foremost, i wanna thank you for giving me and page452 a few minutes of ur time. Thank you!

I wont lie to you, to support the Arsenal is not easy... Many have lost hope on us and jumped ship to the winning teams of the moment(trophy-wise), Chelsea and ManU… For those who have endured d dissapointments of d past five years like I have done, I raise up my glass of palmwine in acknowledgment. For those who just cudnt endure, well… dats ur cup of tea! As a gunner, @harryubak, tweeted “Choose which side u are on. Thatz ur call.I have chosen mine. I ain't regretting my decision. #TEAMARSENAL baby” it’s a choice to support d Arsenal… I have made mine and I have never regretted it. Not Once!

Without further ado, Its Arsenal vs FC Barcelona… Again!(God bless whoever made dis draw sha) Less than a year ago we entertained them at d Emirates. And frankly, we were taught a footballing lesson! B4 d match, d tie was billed as d meeting of d two greatest ball-passing sides on d planet. After d match, it was clear dat barca was d real McCoy. We witnessed d most dominant 30mins of a football match albeit without a goal thanks to d suprising heroics of Manuel Almunia(best 30mins of d Spanish Waiter’s Arsenal career IMO)… to cut d long story short, we were dominated but thankfully we drew d match 2-2 from 2 goals down thanks to impact sub Theo Walcott. The Return leg at Camp Nou is another story, one for a later date…

So the dread and feeling of hopelessness was xpected wen UEFA pitted Us against Barcelona for d 2nd year running… and dat brings us to today’s match against d catalans. Will it be a repeat of last year’s encounter at the Grove? Will Barca go one better? Will d arsenal players man up and fight for d victory d fans deserve? Most neutrals, all haters and even some gunners feel Barca will come out on top by 11pm tonight. I and millions of  other gunners refuse to believe or accept this. I cant and I wont. Like I said earlier we’ve been dissapointed many times in d last few years, but we’ve gotten a fair share of glory nights in Europe too. Remember d match at the Bernabeu against Real madrid in 06? The glorious victory over AC milan at d San Siro? (I know ManU and even spurs have done dat but we were d first… and we were given no chance b4 d match)… yeah we have had some glorious nights in Europe. Today can be an should be one of such glory nights

And it will be if d gunners play with discipline and efficiency. If Our Super Six( wilshere, Song, fabre, Nasri/Arshavin, Theo and RvP) and Our Fabulous five (our back four and our GK) play with ruthless determination. Silly mistakes shud be cut out (im talking to you Clichy). Eboue shud try to return to d defender he was 5yrs ago atleast for a night. Barcelona are better passers of d ball so our off the ball runs and marking shud be on-point. We create as much goal-scoring chances as Barca does so whatever scoring oppurtunities we create tonight shud be utilized (Theo i hope this is going thu ur mind o) as Messi and Co are better finishers. Also, I sincerely hope we don’t try to outscore dem. A clean sheet wud be nice (I agree, im dreaming). The mid-field shudnt sit back and let d loud-mouthed Xavi and Iniesta run d show. Jacky boy and Muphasa(Song) should work their socks off to ensure dat dat pair see d ball as little as possible. Cesc Fabregas should show d world why I rate him higher than xavi… if(herein lies our problem, IF) d gunners can play as I have just stated and stick to whatever gameplan le Boss chooses tonite, I have no doubt we’ll come out on top…

But alas, u just don’t know which arsenal team will turn up on d day. The one who convincingly beat chelsea back in december? Or the one who threw away a 4 goal lead at newcastle some days back… for our sake, I hope d former.

To all neutrals, enjoy a wonderful night of football

To all haters, well… hate all you want, Nuffin does Us

To Cesc and Co, stand up and be counted. there are no excuses

To all gunners out there, its gonna be a tense, nervy and hopefully, enjoyable 98 minutes of football tonite… lets hope dat at the end, it will be d red army singing in victory at the Emirates!

Oh and if u think im an hopeless and blind Optimist, well, dats my choice too. You are entitled to yours

Whatever happens, I am ‘Gunners4life!’
God help the Arsenal

Thanks for reading this. A comment would be greatly appreciated.
